New Digs. Photo shows the view looking east from my new hotel room window on the third floor towards the Place Ste. Etienne. (See Map) You can also see the impressive gates to an inner courtyard, typical for this section of the old city. Now tenants park their cars there, but previously it would have been carriages and horses. There is clearly also some remants of Christmas hanging about. That's Pere Noel on the left of the picture making his escape. It is supposed to be sunny and warm today-- 13C-- but so far it is rather overcast and cool. As I write (most entries are being written the day after) it is already Saturday morning and I plan to visit the market and some historical sites today.

Your blog has already become a morning habit. It's the first place we visit when the technology is plugged in each day.
The juxtaposition of old in new in your pictures is very interesting.
Vive la France!
