Toulouse. Awoke at 11am in the pink city, so-called because of the colour of the bricks used in many of the buildings. Always proud of their heritage, the French list the architects of various buildings and streetscapes on the buildings themselves. Visited the Cathedral of Saint-Sernin named after St. Saturnin who was martyred -- dragged by a bull through the city streets around 250 CE. Spent much of the afternoon strolling around the old town. For lunch I had a salade de asperges followed by a tagliatelle avec d'epinardes et fromage ricotta. Then a cappucino. (10 E) Always the coffee.
