Shopping day in Toulouse. Every store has a sale on and people are buying it up. Sort of like boxing day in Canada or the UK I guess. It's quite a zoo out there. There is a Tintin store in Toulouse celebrating or-- more cynically speaking-- cashing in on the loveable, gormless detective who, when I think about it, really seems quite ageless. I always thought he was a teenager or something, but really who knows?** A poll I found on a fan site suggests most people think he's over 20 but under 30.

was it all about tintin books or are there in fact paraphenalia such as clothing, wigs ? !!!
Just checked one of your links for Toulouse and discothèques seem a popular nighttime destination.
Are these reminiscent of our 70's/80's hangouts?
Not implying that you have firsthand insight but perhaps you've met someone, who knows someone...........
Hey HS
How ya doin?
Hmmm, the Toulouse nightlife. I actually don't know anything about that yet. There are thousands of students here so I imagine it's pretty active. I'll ask around.
Thanks H & M. The Tintin store has great blistering wallops of clothing and paraphernalia. OK actually it's not that big of a shop and there appears to be a lot of clothing.
Hey Hans
Thundering bazooks. Just checking in.
Hey Hans--
Good to know the spirit of consumerism is alive and well in the old country too. Have you heard any fiddling?
Drink it in while you can and I will follow your adventures and dispatches...
